High Park-Swansea, Toronto: Surrounding Green Landscapes

High Park-Swansea real estateHigh Park is home to many attractions, from the trackless train ride that circles the park to the Colborne Lodge Historical Museum. This museum was once the Colborne Lodge, a cottage built by the founder of the area, John George Howard in 1837. Grenadier Pond is a large, tranquil body of water (measuring over 35 acres) on the western edge and is the source of a couple of local legends, including one claiming the pond is "bottomless" as its depth can't be measured because of the thickness of the mud. There's also a nature centre here, while the Eastern ravine is home to the local zoo.

Further parks along the waterfront are just a few minutes away, while shops, restaurants and entertainment are all close at hand on Bloor St. West.
