Clairlea Real Estate

Although several parts of Clairlea real estate took root in the late 19th century (a small village named Moffat's Corners spanned the middle portion of the neighbourhood), most of the community and what remains today was formed in the 1950s when numbers of single-family homes replaced the farm fields that dominated the immediate area. From nostalgic mid-century constructions with updated interiors, kitchens, and floors, to larger, more modern homes taking up residence in the neighbourhood, Clairlea consists of small and cozy bungalows, two-storey detached homes, and in-between storey-and-a-half dwellings. There are also newer townhouses and multi-family complexes added to the mix and make great alternative living options for the Scarborough homebuyer.

Clairlea, Toronto: Comfort & Convenience

clairlea community toClairlea has a bounty of greenspace, with the 4.7-hectare Clairlea Park (with its natural ice skating rink during the winter months) and the scenic ravine found in Warden Woods Park in the southeastern end of the neighbourhood, which offers trails for Clairlea residents to traverse.

All this nature is balanced by the plentiful shopping that's found along Eglinton Ave at the north end of Clairlea, with Eglinton Town Centre and its big box stores and Cineplex movie theatre, and Eglinton Square Shopping Centre and its retail outlets. Many other commercial options can easily be found along Warden Ave and Victoria Park Ave on both sides of the neighbourhood running north to south, so there's hardly a reason to travel too far from home for your daily needs.
